The Patriot Robotics teams are active with the local community. They often mentor younger teams from area schools and participate in local events, like the Holiday Parade. Patriot Robotics also hosts a Regional First Lego League (FLL) Competition at Beyer annually for grade school robotics teams.
Our goal is to grow our small community into our large county. Through FIRST, we've been able to run a team learning principles of engineering and teamwork, skills that we would now like to share in our community. From our FLL tournament to our participation in city events, this is our outreach story as well as our future plans to grow STEM interest in the Stanaslaus Valley.
The teams also make presentations to area youth organizations, school groups, and local businesses and agencies.
The teams have started to get in contact with local schools about starting FLL teams and plan to host FLL coaches training for interested schools.
Please contact Heidi Pagani if you are interested in learning more about Beyer Robotics outreach programs.
